Two people died on Friday evening in an accident near Kayole on the Nairobi-Naivasha highway when a truck lost control and collided with a pick-up.
A trailer transporting products to the western side of the country is said to have lost its brakes on the hilly stretch of Kinungi and collided with a pick-up truck transporting paints before landing in a ditch and catching fire.
The driver of the caravan was apparently burned beyond recognition, while a female driver of the pick-up died upon arrival at the Naivasha level 4 hospital.

Two conductors from both cars received medical treatment, while others have been treated and discharged.
Police have initiated investigations following the 7 p.m. accident to determine the reason, and the bodies of the deceased have been brought to the Naivasha hospital mortuary.
