Prominent media personality Chemutai Goin has formally declared her departure from Citizen TV, a Royal Media Services-owned station after five years. On February 19, 2024, she bid farewell as she geared up to assume a new role in Speaker Moses Wetangula's office.

Upon departing from Citizen TV, Chemutai received a heartwarming surprise from her colleagues. In a video shared by her coworker Ayub Abdikadir, Chemutai is seen expressing her gratitude and bidding farewell to her fellow journalists, reflecting on how she will miss the newsroom. During her farewell, Chemutai spoke about her personal growth at Citizen TV, highlighting her learning experiences, including reporting in Swahili.

Ayub Abdikadir took to social media to celebrate Chemutai Goin's tenure at Citizen TV, commending her reporting style and the delivery of news items.



Additionally, journalist Hassan Mugambi is set to depart from Citizen TV soon to assume a new role in CS Aden Duale's office.



Joining the ranks of journalists who have recently departed from Citizen TV for elevated positions are Chemutai Goin and Hassan Mugambi. Notably, Francis Gachuri left Citizen TV in 2024 to assume a new role in CS Kithure Kindiki's office, while Sam Ogina departed for a new position in the office of the Majority Leader at the National Assembly.
