On Saturday 24, a terrible accident happened along Thika Road near the GSU flyover, causing a major traffic jam. Three vehicles, including a lorry, a truck, and a car, collided, blocking the road. People inside the vehicles were trapped in the wreckage.
According to witnesses, a crane truck lost control, swerved into the wrong lane, and hit the lorry and car. Some bystanders tried to help the trapped passengers, but ambulances hadn't arrived yet.
