Addressing the media in Kakamega, the MCAs now want the party Secretary General, Edwin Sifuna, to submit the meeting minutes, claiming they were not consulted.

“We are disappointed that people would come to interfere with the running of Kakamega County just because they are interested in supporting other candidates. We will not accept it; if one wants the governor’s seat, they should wait for 2027,” Barasa said.
He argued that there were no grounds for dismissing the majority leader and that the decision was politically motivated to harm him.
