Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has issued a strong warning to the country's illegal brew merchants, claiming that she would not back down in the fight against drug usage until all of the culprits are apprehended.
Pastor Dorcas stated that she would continue to fight illicit brew and would not be intimidated into silence.
She stated that if the vice is not vigorously combated, even the government would fail since its development initiatives will not benefit a community already rife with drug usage.
“Kuna haki lazima izingatiwe...hizi zingine zinaitwa second generation sijui...lazima hizo biashara ziachwe...Kwa hivyo mimi siogopi!” She said.
"Serikali iko na mipango mingi sana ya mabarabara, ya manyumba, kama watu wamekufa watauzia nani?"
Pastor Dorcas went on to pick out an unlawful narcotic that she claims turns consumers into "zombies," implying that if discovered, the supplier will face the full wrath of the law.
"Hapo mbeleni kulikuwa na watu walikuwa wanakunywa pombe lakini sumu kuuzia watoto na madawa ya kulevya mnawafanya wanakua kama zombie...nimeona wameleta zingine hata mtoto anasimama namna hii anakaa masaa manane....anakunywa ingine anaendelea mpaka anakufa. Sasa hiyo itakuwa ni biashara ya aina gani. Hello, Inanikasirisha. I wish I could simply grab the person who's doing it..." she added.
She also discussed her role in elevating the male child, pointing out that many young men are dying as a result of alcohol and drug misuse, leaving behind broken families.
In terms of funding for her work, Pastor Dorcas appreciated the role of well-wishers in providing resources and other basic necessities such as clothing and food to help victims of drug abuse cope and overcome addiction, as the government has not allocated funds to her boy child empowerment program.
She went on to discuss solutions such as establishing units in hospitals for drug abusers to expedite the fight against the epidemic.
She also urged business owners selling alcohol and other drugs to quit prioritizing money above the future of the kids.
