A 2-year-old child is among ten people who have died after a road crash involving five motor vehicles on Monday, evening in the Salama area along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
Confirming the accident, Sultan Amud sub-county hospital medical superintendent Dr Jane Mwende said police took nine bodies to the facility on Monday night.
The child, who was in critical condition, succumbed to injuries.
Mwende also confirmed that 12 people were taken to the facility with injuries, with some referred to Makindu Hospital.
