In a letter sent last month, EACC advised the Head of Public Service and all accounting officers in the civil service to refrain from providing benefits to departing civil servants who have falsified professional certificates and academic transcripts.

In a dramatic move, the EACC filed a court request to seize more than 100 properties and numerous cars. These assets are allegedly belonging to a former Principal Land Registrar stationed in Thika, who is suspected of obtaining them illegally.

The ethics body has issued a warning in a letter dated March 11, 2024, regarding the processing of payments to civil servants who have chosen to retire early or resign due to instances of falsified professional and academic credentials.

The historical ties between Kenya and Ghana are deeply rooted, dating back to the pre-independence era. Both nations shared a struggle for self-rule and independence, driven by the spirit of Pan-Africanism. This shared history sets the stage for the upcoming state visit of President William Ruto to Ghana.

The Prime Minister further stated that several bilateral cooperation frameworks have been signed between countries in important domains like energy, trade, agriculture, tourism, transportation, information technology, and technical vocational education. This indicates the commitment to expanding and strengthening cooperation.

Ghana's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor, conveyed her unwavering commitment to collaborating closely with Dr. Mudavadi to fortify the long-standing relations between Ghana and Kenya.

"Today we write a new chapter of our bilateral relations, one characterized by mutual respect, understanding and cooperation. The commercial exchange between our two countries has witnessed a remarkable surge, indicative of the robust growth trajectory in our bilateral economic relations. It is gratifying to observe that our collaborative efforts have yielded substantial and satisfying results," she added.

On Tuesday, President William Ruto is scheduled to begin his three-day State Visit to Ghana, during which he will sign several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). During this visit, the President will give the keynote address at a joint business forum, bringing together investors from the two countries to discuss opportunities for growth and cooperation.
