Anti-narcotics detectives in Mombasa have arrested a drug trafficker from his house in Kiembeni, Bombo area of Kisauni, and a personal car seized with several sachets of suspected heroin and Cannabis sativa.
In a statement by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on its X platform, the suspect, Zuher Ali Mohamed, was arrested in an early morning operation, informed by a tip-off from a concerned public member.
Also seized from the suspect are his vehicle, which is believed to be a proceeds of crime, cash Kes 26,250 and USD 200, a weighing machine, packaging envelopes, and three mobile phones believed to contain data of his accomplices.
He will be arraigned at the Mombasa Law Courts tomorrow, April 18, 2024.
