On Sunday morning, a military aircraft bearing General Francis Ogola, the late Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), landed at Kisumu International Airport.
Ogolla's remains are being transported to Siaya County, where the Obama K'Ogello Primary School in Ngi'ya Village will host a funeral service.
Following the mass, Ogolla's remains will be taken in procession to Mor Village, where the General will be buried.
Attendees will include President William Ruto and other prominent figures.

On Thursday, April 18, Ogolla perished in an aircraft accident.
While on a formal tour of the North Rift region, the CDF and nine army personnel were on board a military helicopter when it crashed in Sindar, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
The other nine officers who perished in the crash were Colonel Duncan Keittany, Lieutenant Colonel David Sawe, Major George Benson Magondu, Captain Sora Mohamed, Captain Hillary Litali, Senior Sergeant John Kinyua Mureithi, Sergeant Cliphonce Omondi, and Sergeant Rose Nyawira.
