Seven people caught on video being carried away by floods while riding in a truck at Sultan Hamud in Makueni County have been rescued by the Red Cross Society.
According to the Red Cross, the seven were among those who were inside the truck when the tragedy occurred.

They were taken to Sultan Hamud Sub-County Hospital for treatment.
“In Sultan Hamud, Makueni County, a distressing incident has occurred: a lorry ferrying people was swept away by raging waters. We are at the scene and actively responding to the situation,” stated the Red Cross.
“7 individuals were rescued, and promptly taken to Sultan Hamud Sub-County Hospital following the incident. Our response efforts remain ongoing.”
