Magdalene Kalembe, wife of former Kibwezi MP, the late Kalembe Ndile has passed away.
Mrs. Kalembe died on Tuesday night while undergoing treatment at MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi.
Magdalene fell critically ill last Thursday and was rushed to the hospital, according to Sam Kinyingi, a close family member.
Despite the medical team's best efforts, she passed away a few days later due to her illness.

In 2021, her husband Kalembe Ndile, a charismatic and prominent figure in Kenyan politics, also passed away.

Following her husband’s passing, Magdalene was nominated as a Member of the County Assembly (MCA) for Makueni County by the Maendeleo Chap Chap party in the last general elections. Her position as an MCA enabled her to carry on the initiatives her husband had initiated, advocating for development projects and social welfare programs in the county.
