President William Ruto has described the breach of parliament as treasonous, vowing to crack down on the protests 'organizers and financiers' of demonstrations.
President Ruto spoke to the country following a day of protests that killed at least five people and wounded over 125 others.
"I hereby put on notice the planners, financiers, orchestrators, and abettors of violence and anarchy that the security infrastructure established to protect our republic and its sovereignty will be to deployed secure the country and restore order and normalcy," President Ruto said.
According to the Head of State, criminals hijacked an important discourse, wreaking devastation across the country and defiling the August House.

According to President Ruto, it is unthinkable that criminals disguised as peaceful protestors can terrorize citizens, elected officials, and institutions and expect to get away with it.
"We must isolate crime from democratic expression and separate criminals from people exercising their freedom of expression and divergent opinion," he added.
A rough talker, Ruto vowed to react thoroughly and timely to Tuesday's events to guarantee that such an incident would not happen again.
" I assure Kenyans that we shall provide a full, effective, and expeditious response to today's treasonous events," President Ruto said.
Kenyan protestors burst past parliament's walls on Tuesday, entering the building while members discussed unpopular tax rises that have prompted public outrage.
According to Amnesty International Kenya, hundreds of protestors smashed past police barriers outside Nairobi's parliament, leading officers to fire live rounds, injuring "many" people.
A part of parliament housing offices were also set on fire when protestors attacked the premises, backed by heavy gunfire from police forces combating the rebel mob.
Protesters have been protesting against the controversial Bill, which was passed by the House on Tuesday, for the last week.
