Former Nandi Hills Member of Parliament and a fierce critic of the Kenya Kwanza government, Alfred Keter, has been abducted in Nairobi.
According to a video seen by Waza news, armed men, thought to be police officials, can be seen physically taking him out of his V8 Land Cruiser and driving away in a grey Ford Ranger double-cabin truck.
The event occurred on Sunday morning on Nyeri Road in Kileleshwa, Dagoretti North Sub-County, Nairobi.

Mr. Keter stated on his official Facebook account that he had been abducted and brought to an unknown location.
“Abducted and taken to an unknown destination,” said Mr Keter.
The footage shows public members shouting as the unidentified men leave with him. When this reporter called, Mr Keter was on the phone for over an hour.
Mr Keter, an outspoken political leader, has backed the recent rallies against the Finance Bill 2024.
On Saturday, Mr Keter visited comedian Fred Omondi's funeral in Siaya County, where he thanked the young for resisting the Finance Bill.
During the funeral, also attended by opposition leader Raila Odinga, Mr Keter asked the young to remain cautious and stand hard against all vices that harm Kenyans.
Dr Abraham Korir Singoei, the Principal Secretary for Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, denounced Mr Keter's detention.
“There is a procedure to affect an arrest. This is not one of them. We must resist the temptation to use extra-legal means even in pursuit of legitimate objectives,” Dr Korir said, referring to the abduction.
His abduction comes just days after President Ruto said that anyone abducted should be released.
