The United States government has announced that the embassy in Nairobi will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
The embassy announced in a public statement on Wednesday that it would be closed to mark the Fourth of July celebrations.
On July 4, the United States commemorates its founding anniversary. It commemorates the day in 1776 when representatives from the thirteen British colonies signed the Declaration of Independence, signaling their independence from Great Britain.
