Kenyan social media users are up in arms after a famous anti-government influencer, popularly known as Osama, made a U-turn and hosted President Ruto on Space X despite swearing not to host him.
He was also targeted by security agents during the wave of kidnappings that followed the anti-Finance Bill rallies, which killed more than 40 people and wounded over 300 others.
Despite his past criticism, Otero joined President Ruto on the official X Space, surprise many of his over half-a-million followers.
On Thursday, just after State House announced the "Engage the President" X Space, Otero discouraged Kenyans against attending.
He was expected to host a parallel Space to counter the President’s engagement. “Believe me, the President Ruto Space plus his cabinet will cost not less than 50 million. Every CS will claim they spent 1 million on a good laptop, microphone, and data,” he said.
However, Otero was seen co-hosting with President Ruto on the official X account on Friday. When the President's account had technical difficulties, Otero and State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed reopened the Space using their own accounts.
“Otero is a TRAITOR. Call it what it is,” wrote Kimuzi, expressing the sentiment of many Kenyans on X.
Hanifa, said, “How can people be so shameless? I’m in awe but I warned you.”
Ruto anadhani he has twitter now? Juu Otero aliamua kuwa cheap?
