President William Ruto's  X Space event is shaping up to be essential for government employees, with all Cabinet Secretaries and nearly all government agencies set to attend. The event, aimed at engaging directly with Gen Z and hearing their concerns, will take place on Friday from 2pm to 5pm, despite resistance from many Kenyans.


Various government bodies, including unexpected ones like the Kenya Forest Service and the Kenya Meteorological Department, are promoting the event on social media. Almost every ministry in Ruto's administration has been actively encouraging participation to ensure a large turnout.

A screenshot circulating online suggests a government communications WhatsApp group is urging members to rally their teams and attend the Space. The President's own X account has confirmed he will host the event, tweeting, "#EngageThePresident at 2PM."

However, some Kenyans are planning to boycott the President's Space and host a parallel event instead. Both Spaces are scheduled to start at 2pm.
