Transport along Magadi Road has been severely disrupted after Multimedia University students took to the streets in protest. The students claim they've endured days without water in their hostels and other parts of the campus.
Despite issuing a strike notice to the university's administration last Thursday, the students followed through on their warning, escalating the situation on Tuesday morning. They blocked a section of the busy road, leaving motorists stranded for hours.
Naomi Oketch, a student leader, told Citizen Digital that the administration has remained silent despite their repeated requests for help. "We had no choice but to strike after our pleas were ignored," the students said.

In addition to the water shortage, they highlighted issues such as poor internet access, malfunctioning sockets, and a lack of study chairs in some hostels, which they claim have gone unaddressed by the administration.
