The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives have arrested a man suspected of killing two people following a dispute at Kibuye market in Kisumu County after four months.
According to DCI, Oliver Ochieng Jaoko, also known as Olivert, is said to have hacked to death Evans Opiyo and Mohammed Saleh on July 1, 2024, after a disagreement over the control of proceeds from five washrooms at the market.
“Following this heinous act, Ochieng vanished into the shadows, evading capture.”
“A manhunt was launched, and acting on a tip-off, he was smoked out of his hideout in Manyatta area and apprehended,” DCI added.
