Haitian Acting Prime Minister Garry Conille arrived in Kenya for a four-day official visit. He was received at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on Thursday by Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

Mudavadi stated that Conille's visit will focus on high-level discussions with President William Ruto, aimed at enhancing security cooperation and building partnerships that support regional stability between Kenya and Haiti.

“This visit by H.E. Dr. Conille marks an important step in strengthening the diplomatic ties between our nations, as both Kenya and Haiti seek to explore new opportunities for collaboration in economic growth and security," Mudavadi remarked.

Mudavadi was joined by Labour and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Dr. Alfred Mutua, National Security Advisor Dr. Monica Juma, and Butere MP Tindi Mwale.

Conille's visit follows a tragic massacre in Haiti, where at least 70 people were killed in Pont Sonde, a town northwest of Port-au-Prince. The attack, carried out by gang members, resulted in the burning of homes and vehicles.
