In the latest review by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), fuel prices in Kenya have decreased, with super petrol, diesel, and kerosene prices dropping by Ksh.8.18, Ksh.3.54, and Ksh.6.93 per liter, respectively.

These new prices are effective from October 15 to November 14, 2024.

In Nairobi, super petrol costs Ksh.180.66 per liter, while diesel is priced at Ksh.168.06. Kerosene will retail at Ksh.151.39 per litre. In Mombasa, the prices are slightly lower, with super petrol costing Ksh.177.42, diesel at Ksh.164.82, and kerosene at Ksh.148.45 per liter.

In Kisumu, consumers will pay Ksh.180.68 for super petrol, Ksh.168.44 for diesel, and Ksh.151.82 for kerosene.

EPRA attributed the price reduction to a decrease in the average landed cost of imported fuel. Super petrol's cost dropped by 8.59% from US$697.62 per cubic meter in August 2024 to US$637.70 in September. Diesel's cost saw a 5.52% decrease, while kerosene's price declined by 6.73% during the same period.

This fuel price adjustment relieves Kenyan consumers as global oil costs fluctuate.
