The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) officers have arrested a police officer stationed at Kahawa West Police Station for demanding Kes 50,000 to withdraw a criminal case from court.
According to EACC Spokesperson Eric Ngumbi, Police Constable Christine Nyokabi Macharia was detained at Kilimani Police Station on Tuesday and presented at EACC Integrity Centre Police Station for processing.
The suspect has since been grilled, and a statement has been recorded awaiting arraignment.
