President William Ruto has reiterated his commitment to eradicating politics rooted in ethnicity and division.
Addressing a crowd in Kisumu, the president emphasized that his administration would take decisive action against leaders promoting hate and disunity.
"I promised to unite Kenya as one nation. Those sowing seeds of tribalism, hate, and division will face the consequences," stated President Ruto.
Ruto highlighted the importance of building an inclusive government and stressed that his newly restructured cabinet aims to enhance efficiency across sectors to serve Kenyans better.

The president also encouraged citizens to enroll in the Social Health Authority (SHA), a key pillar of his ambitious Universal Health Coverage (UHC) agenda. He expressed confidence that the program would address challenges in the healthcare sector and improve access to quality services.
His calls for unity come amid a high-profile fallout with former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, who was impeached on allegations of perpetuating tribalism. Gachagua faced accusations of inciting the Mt. Kenya region against other parts of the country and favoring his community in distributing government resources.
Following the impeachment, Kithure Kindiki was appointed the new deputy president, signaling Ruto’s commitment to fostering a more inclusive and united Kenya.
