Kenyan airline Jambojet has reported that one of its aircraft collided with poles during an overnight maintenance routine at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Monday.

In a statement, the airline explained that the aircraft rolled off a ramp while parked, striking poles before coming to a stop.

“Our team is working closely with the authorities to investigate the incident and implement measures to prevent a recurrence,” the statement read.


Jambojet confirmed that no staff members were injured during the incident. The affected plane has been temporarily removed from service pending clearance.

The airline acknowledged that the incident caused some flight disruptions and assured passengers that those impacted would be notified promptly.

Jambojet reiterated its commitment to passenger safety, emphasizing that all operations are conducted to the highest standards.
