Five people lost their lives, and several others sustained serious injuries in a tragic road accident in Subukia, Nakuru County, on Tuesday night.
Subukia area chief Norman Macharia reported that a timber-laden cargo truck veered off course, striking two people on a bodaboda before careening off the road and hitting pedestrians.
Residents have expressed growing concern over the rising number of accidents along the Nakuru-Nyahururu highway, urging the government to conduct a thorough investigation and implement safety measures.
