The body of a 45-year-old man who went missing last Friday has been recovered from a river in Kakamega County.
John Opiyo Saleh, a father of eight, had been battling mental health challenges. Family members launched a search immediately after his disappearance but were unable to locate him.
“Despite our efforts to find him and take him to the hospital, we couldn’t trace him,” said his son Kelvin Otoro and sister-in-law Rose Osundwa while speaking to *Waza News*.

The deceased, a construction worker from Shitoto village in Mumias East Constituency, was found in River Lusumu during a search led by his family.
His body has been moved to St. Mary’s Mission Hospital mortuary in Mumias.
