Authorities in Makutano, Mwea Sub-County, Embu County, are investigating a fatal accident at a local concrete company that claimed the life of a machine operator.
The victim, identified as 31-year-old Joseph Ndichu, was crushed to death in a tragic incident at the plant. According to the company's management, Joseph was highly skilled and considered one of the most dependable employees on their team.
"We are heartbroken by this incident. Joseph's expertise and commitment to his work made him an invaluable part of our workforce. We are awaiting the official postmortem report to gain more clarity on what happened," a company representative stated.
The devastating loss has deeply affected Joseph's family and friends. Lucy Njoki Kariuki, a close relative, expressed her grief, saying, "It’s hard to believe Joseph is gone. He was more than family; he was a pillar of support for all of us. His passing is a profound loss."
Joseph’s untimely death has left his family, for whom he was the primary provider, in anguish.
