President William Ruto’s administration has successfully facilitated the placement of 243,000 Kenyan workers in international markets, with a long-term goal of deploying 2 million workers abroad during his tenure.

Speaking during the 61st Jamhuri Day celebrations at Uhuru Gardens, Ruto emphasized the importance of labor migration as a strategy to address unemployment while boosting foreign remittances that contribute significantly to Kenya's economy.

The government has been actively engaging in bilateral agreements with countries in the Middle East, Europe, and other regions to secure opportunities for skilled and semi-skilled Kenyan workers.


“Our focus is to ensure Kenyans have access to global opportunities by equipping them with the necessary skills and ensuring their rights and welfare are protected,” Ruto stated.
