Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has declared his intention to lead efforts to sideline his predecessor, Rigathi Gachagua, dismissing the former DP’s criticism of the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Responding to Gachagua’s latest televised remarks from his Wamunyoro home, Kindiki on Monday accused him of being in “panic mode” as the government accelerates its development agenda.
“The former DP is feeling the heat because of the consultative forums we are holding. He hasn’t seen anything yet—we will push him out of town,” Kindiki stated.
During a high-profile meeting with approximately 2,700 grassroots, political, religious, and economic leaders from Kiambu County’s 12 constituencies, Kindiki emphasized that no single individual had a monopoly over the Mt. Kenya region.
He reaffirmed the government's commitment to fulfilling its promises to Kenyans, regardless of public opinion.

“President William Ruto is a transformative leader who will make the right decisions, even if they are unpopular. Threats of a one-term presidency don’t faze him,” Kindiki asserted.
Since assuming office, DP Kindiki’s Karen residence has become a hub of political activity, hosting a series of engagements with local leaders to communicate the government’s development plans.
So far, he has met leaders from over eight counties, with more forums scheduled in the coming weeks as he cements his role as the chief overseer of government projects.
