Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has disclosed that he has written a special letter to his community, providing strategic political guidance in case of his untimely demise.

Speaking on Kameme FM, Gachagua stated that the letter, safeguarded by his lawyers, outlines key leadership directives and strategies to ensure his people remain politically potent.

"I cannot assume I will live forever. This government has already attempted to eliminate me in Limuru," he claimed. "If I had died, who would have guided my community?"

Gachagua alleged that government operatives previously disrupted a funeral he attended, reinforcing his concerns for personal safety. As a precautionary measure, he has documented his thoughts in writing, ensuring his community knows the political direction to take should anything happen to him.

The letter details political strategies, leadership succession, and anticipated challenges his community may face. He stressed the importance of preparing for the future, stating, "I see what’s happening, and I must ensure my people are not left without direction."

Beyond personal security concerns, Gachagua emphasized his broader mission: mentoring young leaders and laying the foundation for long-term political stability. He envisions establishing a formidable political party to safeguard his community’s interests for the next five decades.

"If my people stand with me, I will craft a succession plan and build a strong party to protect our future," he declared. "Leadership is not about holding power—it's about securing a lasting political legacy."

Gachagua’s revelations have sparked discussions on leadership, political succession, and community preparedness, highlighting the evolving political landscape in Kenya.
