Authorities in Kakamega County are investigating a heartbreaking incident where two children drowned in a pond in the Lake Basin area of Manyonyi Ward, Lugari Constituency.
According to reports, the victims were a five-year-old and an eleven-year-old. Following the tragedy, parents and guardians have been urged to exercise greater vigilance and closely monitor their children’s movements, especially near water bodies.
The bodies of the young victims have been taken to a nearby mortuary as investigations continue.
