David Pkosing, a Pokot south member of parliament, was released from police custody after denying charges of funding bandit activity in the northern part of Kenya and that he does not own a white chopper.
The Pokot south mp was arrested yesterday evening in his nairobi office at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre. David Pkosing was released around 10:30 p.m. after hours of questioning by investigators at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters on charges of facilitating and facilitating bandit operations in Northern Kenya.
According to the member of parliament, police questioned him about allegations that he had posted bonds for seven suspects who had been arrested for bandit activity. , However, David acknowledged that he indeed posted bonds for the young boys who had been arrested as they came from his community.
Pkosing claimed that the seven were the owners of over 200 heads of livestock that had just been killed by bandits and that they were arrested while checking on their cows, then transferred to Kitale, where they were formally charged and released on bond.

David says that he does not even know the names of the arrested boys but posted their bond because he believes in their innocence.
The legislator is reportedly at the DCI concerning statements he made during public rallies in his district, media interviews, and social media posts that are thought to contain themes intended to encourage inter-community violence, according to sources with knowledge of the investigations.
David says that he believes that someone is pushing for his arrest and that he will name names in due time.
The MP went on to claim that he was informed of his detainment by a high-ranking government official, whom he promised to name when he came back to the DCI headquarters on Friday morning to answer further questions.
His lawyer, Danstan Omari, says his client is innocent of all the allegations against him.
