Former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has dared the well-known prophet Owuor to heal Hon. David Ole Sankok.

After pictures of the prophet performing miracles flooded the Internet over the weekend, the prophet made headlines. One of the miracles mentioned was healing the sick, where people witnessed directing the handicapped walk while grabbing their hands.

Also, the prophet is supposed to have prayed for rain, and according to his followers, it did rain. These miracles received much attention, and many people suggested they were faked.

Sonko referred to miracles performed by prophet Owuor as great miracles. He even acknowledged that there's a God in heaven who heals. However, Sonko had a simple and humble request to Prophet Owuor. He requested the prophet also to perform a miracle on Hon. David Ole Sankok, an EALA Member of Parliament.

Sonko gave an assurance of repenting all his sins and becoming a born-again Christian through the prophet when he finds out Sankok is healed.

Sonko has received criticism from the prophet's followers, who have defended him, saying that putting God to the test is biblically wrong.

Sankok stated in an interview that he was not born crippled and didn't become so until the age of 12 due to being handled carelessly by a medical professional.
In an interview, Sankok narrated how he got paralyzed. The MP narrated that he got an injection wrongly. Sankok claims the doctor injected him in the lower region instead of the upper quadrant, where there are no nerves, paralyzing the nerve in his leg.
