Five persons face the law after stealing 20 boxes of urine specimen vials from the Ministry of Health.

The five defendants, Humphrey Magui, John Kiema, Antony Micheru, Paul Karanja, and Wanjiru Gituku, pleading not guilty.

According to the prosecution, they stole urine specimen containers from the Ministry of Health on February 21 in the Kilimani neighbourhood of Nairobi County, valued at Ksh. 184,000 shillings.

In addition, handling stolen property is a charge against Kiema, Micheru, and Karanja.

In front of Milimani Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina, the accused denied the allegations, and each was set free on Ksh 100,000 cash bail.


The court will review the case again after two weeks.
