The revised Visa Application Center for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) was formally inaugurated on Monday by Ms. Dominique Hardy, director of the UK Visa & International Network.
The enhanced TLSContact Visa Application Center in Westlands Nairobi now allows for in-country printing of UK visas, and applications are being processed and answered within 15 business days.
Ms. Hardy announced a brand-new service called the Super Priority Visa service in a statement from the British High Commission. Customers who purchase the service will receive feedback within 24 hours.
Ms. Hardy praised the efforts made to install the additional services in the center and expressed confidence in the seamless and effective service delivery to clients.
"I am happy to announce the opening of a bigger, better Visa Application Center in Nairobi, which will help all of our customers. As part of our ongoing efforts to better our service offering to our customers, we are now able to provide the Super Priority Next Day Visa service in Kenya, she said.
The in-country printing system, according to Jane Marriott, the British High Commissioner to Kenya, who was also present, shows just how committed the UK is to working with Kenya.
"Our dedication to the Kenya-UK Strategic Partnership is shown by our return to in-country printing in Nairobi. We are proud to be able to provide an improved visa service in Kenya thanks to our workers, who are a crucial component of this collaboration, said Marriott.
But, it's crucial to remember that the Customer Service Standards begin when applicants show up for their appointment at the Visa Application Center.
The wait times are 15 working days for the Standard Service, 5 working days for Priority Visa Service, and 24 hours for Super Priority Visa Service.
For clients who submitted a fresh application for an overseas family visa as of February 20, 2023, UKVI also re-introduced Priority Visa services.
Clients will be given the option of using the current 24-week normal processing period or the Priority Visa services, which will evaluate applications within 30 days to 6 weeks after the date of biometric submission.
