In 2022, he was at the centre of the controversy when Kalonzos was accused of grabbing the 200-acre plot of land in Yatta that had once belonged to the National Youth Service.
Afterwards, the Wiper leader would travel by foot to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations' main office on Kiambu Road. He would get a report on the investigation's results and be acquitted of all charges.
Kalonzo was listed as the second owner of the Yatta land in Machakos county, according to the report.
The land was purchased from Bestraco Ltd by a business that belongs to the Kalonzo family.
According to DCI George Kinoti's report, Pastev Holdings Limited acquired private ownership of the subject property after purchasing it from Betraco Limited.
According to the DCI, Musyoka is the rightful landowner. Moreover, NYS stated that it had no stake in the land.
Vice President William Ruto was the target of a vicious onslaught by Musyoka, who claimed Kalonzo had taken the land.
The charges made by the DP, according to Kalonzo, assassinated his character, and he threatened to sue the man.
