A dispute in which Vice President Rigathi Gachagua is battling for a Ksh1.5 billion property close to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) will be on March 16, 2023, in court, according to a high court order.
The case was to be heard today, but it is said that the DP's attorney was unavailable.
Justice Ogutu Mboya fined Gachagua and his company Ksh—5,000 for the case's adjournment.
The judge decided that the plaintiff must pay NIS 5000 in court adjournment fees to the National Treasury within seven days; otherwise, he would lose his right to the audience.

In the lawsuit, the DP claims that Ohas obtained a title deed to the subject property illegally in December 2019 and registered it in his firm's name by doing so through his company Wamunyoro Investments.
The court was informed that Ohas' business, Columbus Two Thousand Limited, planned to replace him as a key witness because he was ill.
The attorney for the abovementioned corporation told the court, "We may propose substituting Michael John Ohas, the key witness, as he has been ailing for a long time and is currently in the hospital.
Judge Mboya postponed the hearing to March 16 and ordered the application to be submitted appropriately.
