"You have been bought. You are being used to bring down political parties in Western so that you can eat," said MP Atandi.

malala came to his defence rubbishing the being bought claims saying that he decided on his own without influence from other parties.

"You'd rather be bought and have an independent mind than not being bought and you are a slave to somebody," he said.

"I made a personal move, I am a man of my own, and I make my own decision." malala added.

Malala also clarified that he did not abandon the Amani National Congress (ANC) but defected immediately after losing the Kakamega gubernatorial seat and was "partyless" until his appointment with the ruling party.

"I moved immediately after elections because after I lost the Kakamega seat I knew I would be appointed as a state officer and in anticipation to that, I resigned from ANC," he said.

"It was inevitable since we won the national government that I was going to be appointed in whatever capacity CS, PS, CAS, Chief, Assistant Chief." he added

malala went on the attack and accused mp Atandi and other azimio leaders of being sycophants of raila odinga and blindly obeying his orders.

"For him, they are used to collective thinking. Raila thinks on behalf of all legislators in Azimio," Malala claimed.

"If today Raila says we are going to dive into Lake Victoria Atandi will dive there first before asking why."

MP Atandi refuted Malala's claims, claiming that azimio la Umoja leader is a fearless visionary and that the country has made significant progress under his leadership.
