President William Ruto said he is unconcerned about the continuing national demonstrations being organized by Raila Odinga, head of the Azimio.

The Head of State promised to ensure that neither lives nor property was lost during the demonstrations above in a speech delivered on March 15, 2023, at State House.

The President said that no one is above the law, noting that the rule of law rules the nation.

"The government will not tolerate theft, property damage, or human casualties. We won't permit a small number of people who have rejected the election results to wreak havoc among others who value peace, declared President Ruto.

The President follows Mr Odinga's March 20, 2023, declaration as a public holiday to allow his supporters to assemble in Nairobi for a mass protest.

But, Mr Odinga is not permitted by law to proclaim a national holiday in the nation because he is an opposition-aligned official.

President Ruto stated, "This is the reason we've ordered Raila Odinga to sit down with police and explain to them how the demonstrations will be peaceful.
