According to the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC), most of the country has been without power due to ongoing rains.

Residents of Nairobi have been impacted by the outage, especially those in Umoja, Dandora, Buruburu, Eastleigh, Uhuru, and the surrounding districts.

Imara Daima, Kariobangi, Mathare North, Kiamaiko, and Korogocho are more areas. Also impacted are portions of Komarock, Joska, Kangundo, Kamulu, Malaa, and surrounding areas.


There are currently outages in parts of Juja, Ruai, Lower Kabete, Kasarani, Ruiru, and Ngong.

Athi River, Kitengela, Kajiado, and Machakos have all experienced some damage. The same happens at Githunguri, Isinya, Oloiktoktok, and the areas around them.

The electrical supplier has confirmed that they are currently trying to fix the problem.
