The anti-government demonstrations that started on Monday will now occur every Monday and Thursday, according to opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation in Nairobi, Odinga called the demonstrations that took place yesterday in Nairobi and other parts of the country "immensely successful" and vowed to continue standing his ground until President William Ruto complies with their demands.
Mr Odinga blamed the police for the disorder and violence that he claimed led to the deaths of two persons and the injuries of numerous more during the protests.
"Numerous protesters were hurt, and the police brutally murdered at least two unarmed Kenyans. We send our deepest sympathies to the families of those who lost loved ones as a result of police brutality. We will stand behind those families and do everything in our power to see that their loved ones receive justice "Odinga stated.

He added that police, who allegedly fired at their vehicles, attempted his life and the life of Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
"The lives of both Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka were threatened. Fortunately, they were unharmed despite having their cars shot at "Odinga said
Adamson Bungei, the commander of the Nairobi Police, was singled out and threatened with local and international legal action.
"In this sense, we criticize IPOA and KNHCR for remaining silent over Ruto's abuse of the police. For officers who violated the Constitution, we are aiming for personal accountability and guilt. As of right now, we have enough evidence to bring specific charges against Mr. Adamson Bungei. We'll pursue these allegations both domestically and abroad "Odinga remarked.
"We are not looking back as this battle is only getting started. We won't be scared off. " No retreat, no submission, "argued the opposition leader".
Raila staged the first Azimio protests on Monday 20th, after terming the day a national holiday for the demonstrations.
