Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Odinga declared that Mr Bungei, the former police commander of Baringo County, will face domestic and international prosecution.

The opposition leader claimed that while police were allegedly being told to use excessive force against unarmed protestors, the Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA) did nothing.

"We've come to the conclusion that until we force our cops to change, they won't. In order to investigate the actions and directives given by police commanders to the officers on the streets that resulted in the violence displayed yesterday, we have assembled a team of legal and security professionals. We will take legal action against certain policemen who gave the orders that caused the chaos "Odinga remarked.

"In this sense, we criticize IPOA and KNHCR for remaining silent over Ruto's abuse of the police. For officers who violated the Constitution, we aim for personal accountability and guilt. As of now, we have a case to bring charges against Mr Adamson Bungei individually. "We'll pursue these allegations domestically and abroad, " Odinga added.

Odinga hailed the demonstrations that took place yesterday in Nairobi and other areas of the country as "immensely successful," He announced that they would take place on Mondays and Thursdays starting the following week.

"This battle is only getting started, and we are not turning back. We won't be scared off. The opposition leader insisted, "No retreat, no capitulation.

The planned peaceful demonstrations by Azimio La Umoja on Monday, the 20th, did not go as expected after the police officers came in and disrupted the meetings by the Azimio One Kenya leader Raila Odinga including throwing teargas at Raila's motorcade as they left Serena Park Hotel to head to KICC where they were to assemble and start a peaceful Match to state house,
