On Thursday, March 30, police repulsed unknown individuals attempting to raid Kedong Ranch, associated with former President Uhuru Kenyatta, near the Narok East border.

According to reports, police patrolled the area before spotting armed youth attempting to breach the security fence and enter the ranch.

To disperse the rowdy youths, tear gas canisters were lobbed.

"We received reports that some youth from the neighboring community intended to invade the 75,000-acre expanse of land and destroy property. We began deploying anti-riot officers at 6 a.m "According to County Commissioner Isaac Masinde.

"Police foiled the youths' attempt to invade the land," he added.

No casualties were reported due to the attempted raid on Kedong Ranch.

According to preliminary reports, no property was destroyed during the attempted raid on former President Uhuru's ranch.

When this article was published, local law enforcement officers had not issued a conclusive report on the attempted raid on Uhuru's ranch.

However, following the announcement of nationwide anti-government protests by Azimio leader Raila Odinga, the area security officers pledged to remain vigilant.

On Monday, March 27, a gang of thugs raided the Northlands farm owned by Uhuru's family. The unidentified individuals stole sheep and other farm property.

In response to the raid, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki stated that Azimio's protests made it difficult for police to respond quickly.

"While the police and private security guards repelled the Industrial Area criminals, action to protect the Ruiru property was delayed due to operational constraints caused by the protests," the CS explained.
