President William Ruto has chastised anti-government demonstration organizers for seeking personal gain at the price of people's property.

President Ruto, speaking at a thanksgiving service at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday, advised leaders to avoid risking Kenyans' lives and companies by finding other ways to achieve their goals.

President ruto said that As leaders, it is incumbent upon them, even as they pursue the things that matter to them as leaders and that they cannot put into jeopardy the things that matter to the people.

He said Even if you're seeking your right to lead, why are you destroying people's property? Why are you annihilating Kenyan businesses?

As a result, the president encouraged the leaders to take advantage of the bipartisan meetings set in parliament and allow him to fulfil his mandate to Kenyans.

He went on to say that protests cannot make political conversation but only through rational discussions.

The president stated, And that is why they decided to come to their committee, he said, adding that they sit down and speak and would agree we move Kenya forward with it, but they let me plan the growth for the nation.

"Let us discuss matters to do with leadership in a different place," he added.

President Ruto also urged Ukambani leaders to assist the government in providing services to citizens, promising to reduce the nation's economic burden shortly.

On March 20, Raila Odinga's Azimio la Umoja alliance initiated anti-government protests, which swiftly descended into disorder, causing President Ruto to persuade Mr Odinga to call off the demonstrations and engage in a bipartisan conversation to air their grievances.

Azimio calls President Ruto to address rising food, gasoline, and energy prices and re-establish the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

They have threatened to return to the streets to protest the government's lack of commitment to the discussions.

They allege that the administration has already begun to dismiss some of Azimio's issues, rendering the negotiations meaningless.
