Wekesa stated to the media, escorted by church members that he had committed no crimes and was a man of God on a mission from God.

He explained that he came to the police station because the OCS told him the county commander wanted to talk to him, so he honoured that call.

The preacher stated that he was not frightened of the law since he was blameless and was just on the mission of escorting God's ship.

He added that The law, according to that bible verse, only applies to the guilty, and he has never committed a crime in his whole missionary career, which began at the age of 30 and continues to this day at the age of 42 and that he is simply commandeering God's sacred ship from afar.

When asked if he would bring lawyers, Wekesa said he would hire the sun and the moon to represent him in court.

"My lawyers will be the sun and the moon because I have done no wrong." And when I say the sun, it's a metaphor. "I'll leave it up to you to figure it out," he continued.

This comes as President William Ruto establishes a judicial commission to investigate the Shakahola cult fatalities.

The panel has been tasked with determining what caused more than 100 people to die in the church owned by controversial pastor Paul Mackenzie.

The inquiry will be chaired by Lady Justice Jessie Lessit, according to a gazette notification issued by the Head of State.
