After getting pulled over for speeding, a driver in the US state of Colorado attempted to switch places with his dog to avoid arrest.

Local police said the driver was seen manoeuvring within the car before exiting on the passenger side in the Saturday night incident.

In a Facebook post, the police said that As the SPD officer approached and observed the entire process, the driver attempted to switch places with his dog in the passenger seat. The male party then exited the vehicle on the passenger side and claimed he was not driving

The individual displayed signs of intoxication and fled from the officer when questioned about his alcohol usage.

He was apprehended inside around 18 meters, and authorities discovered he had two active arrest warrants.

The man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while ability impaired, driving while suspended, overspeeding, and resisting arrest.
