Kenyan citizens may soon face difficulties as a prominent ally of the Azimio movement delivers concerning news. In a recent interview, John Mbadi expressed that the current National Assembly has taken a concerning direction, leaving Kenyans without effective representation.

Mbadi highlighted the remarks made by Hon Sylvanus Osoro, the Majority Whip of the National Assembly, regarding the finance bill, indicating that Members of the National Assembly will struggle to adequately voice the concerns and opinions of their constituents.

Hon Osoro previously assured President Ruto that the Finance Bill would be passed by MPs without any amendments. This raises concerns as it implies that there will be no opportunity for Kenyans' voices to be heard or for their interests to be represented. It is disheartening that the government has not sought public input on the proposed Finance Bill, especially considering that its passage would result in the imposition of high taxes.

Nevertheless, it is crucial for the government to reconsider its stance and allow for a thorough debate of the Bill by MPs. By doing so, Kenyans would feel that their concerns are being acknowledged and their views are being properly represented.
