The Jubilee Party's Internal Disputes Resolution Committee decided that former President Uhuru Kenyatta's National Delegates Conference (NDC) was null and invalid.

The Committee also determined that Uhuru violated party constitution rules when he issued a notification to call a National Executive Committee meeting on April 28, 2022.

"The Respondent (Uhuru) did not act in line with the Party constitution in posting the notices convening the NEC meeting on April 28, 2023 and the SNDC on May 22, 2023," the judgement states.

The Committee, chaired by Gideon Solonka, also stated that the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on April 28, 2023, was convened irregularly and had no quorum.

"Based, all decisions made at the aforementioned NEC meeting are null and void." "As a result, the Committee concludes that there was no NEC decision to convene a special NDC," the committed stated.

The conflict resolution committee's decision came after the party's Chairperson, Nelson Dzuya, filed a challenge, claiming that Uhuru's notice to hold a National Executive Committee meeting was invalid.

Dzuya claimed that the notice was invalid and that the decision to hold the May 22 NDC was made in a quorum-free NEC meeting.

The Jubilee party has been embroiled in disputes, with two factions vying for leadership: one led by EALA MP Kanini Kega and the other by former Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni.
