Governor Cecily Mbarire of Embu expressed her appreciation for President William Ruto's efforts in launching various development initiatives in the county, supported by the national government.

During a speech at Embu's Moi Stadium, Mbarire commended the collaboration between her government and the national administration in driving progress. She emphasized their commitment to working together on essential priority areas to accelerate development in the region.

" We are happy that we continue to work closely with you and your government," she said in her address.

Governor Mbarire announced that the county government plans to allocate Sh250 million towards the establishment of an aggregation center within the county. Additionally, she has sought the President's assistance in securing an equivalent amount for this purpose.

"The people of Embu are behind your government and the plans that you have for the country we believe in," she said.

" We look forward to working with you in improving industrialization and cottage industries in Embu."

As the chairperson of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, Governor Mbarire expressed gratitude on behalf of the county for the support extended by President Ruto's administration.

"We are thankful for the magnificent Embu stadium build in a record 15 weeks as well as the Embu modern market," she said.

In addition, Mbarire made a request to the President, urging him to consider converting the residence of the regional commissioner in Embu into a State Lodge.
