At least thirty thousand troubled Embakasi Ranching Company shareholders will receive title deeds from the government.
According to the firm’s Chairperson, Lucy Muthoni, President William Ruto will lead the issuance exercise.
“We are grateful that after a long wait, the current administration has decided to listen to us. Our President will lead this exercise. Embakasi ranching will be as peaceful as ever,” said Muthoni.
People must have three-coloured passports, a copy of their Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) PIN certificate, an original and a duplicate of their National Identification Card, and a copy of their share certificates.
Companies must provide a certified copy of CR12, a copy of the registration certificate, and a copy of the KRA PIN certificate.
Copies of the KRA PIN, the directors' national IDs, and each director's three-coloured passports are additional restrictions placed on businesses.
Partners must produce the certificate of registration, copies of the KRA PIN, the trustees' national identification cards, and three coloured passports for each trustee for self-help groups.
Further, Muthoni warned that any plot with a dispute will only be titled once the matter has been resolved.
“It is a criminal offence to present fake or forged documents, and doing so will lead to arrest and prosecution”, she said.
