Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua returned from the UN Food Systems Summit in Rome, Italy, on Wednesday. He took a tour of the Vatican City on his last day.

The DP, accompanied by his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, stated that the visit gave him a chance to pause and consider how global his belief in one Creator is, despite differing religions and denominations.

"The beautiful City, which is the religious and administrative capital of the Roman Catholic Church, has a lot that my Spouse Dorcas Rigathi and I have learnt from, more so on leadership," he said

The Summit was hailed as a great success by the DP. "It was a great way of concluding the UN Food Systems Summit, whose engagements were highly successful," he said.

Gachagua departed the nation on Saturday to travel to Rome for the UN Food Systems Summit.

On behalf of President William Ruto, he made a statement during the conference.

DURING THE SUMMIT, the DP discussed how to finance food systems, focusing on Kenya's transformation program.

For her part, Pastor Dorcas used the occasion to promote the protection of the boychild and all males from drug and alcohol addiction.

She spoke passionately about the boychild program she oversees in Kenya, which aims to clean up boys and men from drug and alcohol misuse.



During her visit to the Villa Maraini Foundation, Pastor Dorcas discussed her vision for revalidating Kenyan men and boys and getting them off the streets.

She urged the creation of institutions in nations to house persons caught in the tragic state of addiction in rehabilitation facilities.
